40% Discount on All Funding Programs

This Eid Al-Fitr promotion provides a 40% reduction on the upfront entry cost for all City Traders Imperium (CTI) account types, while evaluation criteria and risk parameters remain completely unchanged.

The active discount applies to all funding models offered by City Traders Imperium (CTI), which includes standard Challenge accounts and Instant Funding options. Traders can also select swap-free accounts at checkout under this pricing structure. The promotion affects purchase pricing only and does not modify trading rules, drawdown limits, or risk parameters. The Instant Funding designation refers strictly to the account type and does not imply the absence of evaluation mechanics or relaxed trading conditions. Support desk hours are operating on a reduced schedule during the holiday period.

Who this may suit

This pricing structure is suitable for traders seeking a reduced entry fee across a variety of account types and those specifically requiring swap-free trading conditions.

Who should be cautious

This should be approached cautiously by individuals assuming that an Instant Funding account implies an absence of risk rules or easier trading conditions.

What this discount does not change

The active promotion strictly lowers the initial purchase price. All trading rules, drawdown limits, evaluation difficulty, and payout structures remain fully intact.

No longer recommended

I’ve been trading with citytradersimperium for a while. At First some positive aspects: Their technical infrastructure is good and also their trading conditions like comissions and spreads are good.
But there are a few points which lead me to the decision that I cannot recommend them anymore:
1. hidden maximum risk rule: A few of my trades where classified as high risk, because the stop-loss was between 2.5% and 5.6% (to clarify this: I only use a stop loss greater than 5% if I already had a lot of winning positions on this day so that I automatically have more drawdown on the same day. I didn’t risk the entire daily drawdown in one go, if I am up 3% or 4% this day and open a new position with a 5% Stop Loss). That means there is technically a maximum risk rule for each instrument which is not mentioned in the rules or FAQ section
2. 150% margin rule: Their 150% margin rule is the worst in the industry. I am trading for a few other prop firms and a part of my strategy is trading one lot Gold with a SL of 15 dollars which make a risk of 1.5% on a 100k account (which aligns to their risk appetite, but not to the margin rule). Their leverage would cause a margin rule break even if your amount of risk is fully align with their rules.
It is almost a scam if you buy their $2500 instant or challenge accounts and would like to trade Bitcoin, Gold or Silver, because if open just 0.01 lot of one these assets, you would instantly breach their 150% margin rule.
Another aspect: What if Gold jumps to $10,000? Should I halve my position size just to stay within their margin rule although my risk per trade stays the same? This rule is definitely constructed to fail the trader.
3. changing contract sizes without notice: I traded silver during january and february. Suddenly there was a change in the contract size (from 1000 to 5000) which causes a higher margin use. This change was not communicated and is clearly a red flag for a prop firm, especially when it causes an unintended rule break.
All in all these things made it nearly impossible to trade with citytradersimperium and I cannot recommend them anymore. Also it might be interesting to know, that in the last years they very rarely offered discounts, but this year they running a 30% promotion for three months in a row now. It seems they are having issues convincing new traders.
Update: Here is my answer to CTI:
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately it seems that you didn't read my review properly, so I try to clarify my points in the following:
1. Hidden maximum risk rule: I stated explicitly in my review that I set the a SL greater than 5% ONLY if I am up 3% or 4% on the same day. In this case I didn't risk the entire drawdown as you claimed rather I risk actually 1.6% of my daily drawdown (5.6% SL and a daily gain of closed positions of 4%). My main point here which I criticize is that you complain about all positions with a SL greater than 2.5%, but it is not mentioned in the FAQ section, that 2.5% is the risk limit. This should be clear visible in the FAQs and the rules section like other firms do it.
2. The 150% margin rule: You claim that if I my margin drops below 150% on a trade idea the position is over-sized and over-leveraged. This is wrong and doesn't align with common risk management. Let me give you an example: If I open a 0.5 lot position in Gold to the current price of $5,000 my used margin would be $50,000 and therefore my margin level would be 200% on a 100k account. Let's assume I put a SL of 15 points/dollars which means my entire risk for this position would be 0.75% or $750. Let's assume further the gold price moves to $10,000 in a couple of months. If I would open the same position at this level (0.5 lot, 15 points StopLoss) my risk would be still the same (0.75% on a 100k account). But I would break the 150% margin rule because my used margin would be now $100,000 and therefore my margin level at 100%. This has nothing to do with over-sizing or over-leveraging.
My main point here which I criticize is that on the smaller accounts (which I traded in the past) I would instantly break the 150% margin rule if I open a 0.01 lot position on Gold or Bitcoin (for example the 1.25k instant account). That makes no sense at all.
3. Changing contract size: Anytime during January or February you changed the contract size for silver from 1000 to 5000 contracts without communication, neither via e-mail nor Discord (I checked the mentioned discord channel as well). This is unacceptable especially when it leads to a rule breach (max risk limit or margin rule).

Hi Jakob
Thank you for reviewing us, And please let us clarify each point.
Regarding the risk percentage, It's not making sense to risk 5.6% of your entire account's balance which is more than the half of the entire drawdown in one trade, If the trader loses that trade he would lose the account immediately due to the daily drawdown if the account has that factor,
This is not a proper risk management but more close to gambling which is clearly prohibited and well explained on our Help Center.
https://helpcenter.citytradersimperium.com/en/articles/12891259-gambling-behaviour
Regarding the Leverage rule, That was well explained on the Help Center,
Over-leveraging occurs when a trader uses their entire available margin on a single trade idea, causing the Margin Level to fall to 150% or below. This includes:
Opening one oversized position.
Stacking positions on the same symbol.
This is considered gambling, not strategic trading.
Regarding the Changes, We usually publish our updates on our Discord Channel #Alert-Funding, So you may review it from time to time.
Regarding the Discount offers we are creating, this is based on a comprehensive analysis by the marketing team and it's not for any of the reasons you mentioned.
Finally, Your account was upgraded successfully and we found you are trading normally without any issues.
We hope that we addressed your points clearly and please let us know if you need any further clarifications.

Great Prop Firm for Serious Traders

I’ve had a really positive experience with City Traders Imperium so far. The rules are clear and focused on proper risk management, which actually helps build good trading discipline. The dashboard is easy to use and everything from the challenge process to account statistics is well organized.
What I appreciate the most is the support team, they respond quickly and are very helpful whenever you have questions. The firm also offers flexible evaluation models and realistic trading conditions compared to many other prop firms.
Of course, like any prop firm, you still need solid risk management and consistency to succeed. If you follow the rules and trade responsibly, CTI can be a great place to grow as a funded trader.
Overall, a professional prop firm with a supportive community and good opportunities for traders who take trading seriously.
