Payout denied under a rule from another programme's FAQ

I requested a $520 payout from a One Step 25K account on 6 August. On 11 August it was rejected, declared a "hard breach", and the account was permanently stripped of payout eligibility. I was told to buy a new challenge.
The reason given was the Layering Rule — no more than two open positions. I don't dispute the position counts. What I dispute is where that rule lives and what it says.
It is not in the One Step Challenge rules article, which lists four requirements: 4% daily loss, 8% overall loss, five trading days, closing positions for evaluation. It is in the Three Step Challenge FAQ — a different programme — where it says exceeding the limit "may result in profit deductions or other penalties." It is not in the Prohibited Trading Strategies article, which lists thirteen practices and is the only page stating that violations may lead to account termination.
And it is not in the Terms & Conditions at fundedprofx.com terms, which run to twenty sections of risk disclaimers and contain nothing at all about trading rules, breaches, or payout eligibility. There is a second "Terms of Use" on their help subdomain — it's an unedited template referring to "WEBSITE NAME" at "yourwebsite.com", listing the contact address as "YOUR COMPANY ADDRESS", setting jurisdiction in "Netherlands County, California" (which does not exist), and capping the company's total liability to you at $50.
The two payout rules they also cited both carry deduction of the excess as their published consequence. Not rejection of everything.
The flagged positions were opened on 29 July, 31 July and 3 August. Every one was accepted by the platform — no warning, no auto-close, no notification. I traded for another two weeks with the account in good standing. Compliance reviewed my activity only after I asked for the money.
Their FAQ states there are no hidden rules.
Screenshot everything before you pay. I did.
This prop is a total scam; don't even think about putting in a single dollar.

We understand your concern, but to clarify, the trading rules and restrictions are published in our FAQs and rules, including the limitation on having more than two open positions/layers on a single pair.
These rules apply to the relevant trading programs, and traders are expected to review the applicable rules before trading. We apply the same rules consistently to all accounts.
FundedProFX is a legitimate and trustworthy firm, and traders who follow the applicable rules are receiving their payouts on a daily basis.
If you believe there has been an error in the review of your account, please contact our relations team directly at [email protected] with your account details so the matter can be reviewed properly.
We’re always happy to clarify any rule or account-related concern.
Best Regards:

Thanks for sharing your opinion. We always encourage traders to do their own research and look at the full picture. FundedProFX is a legitimate prop firm, and thousands of traders have had positive experiences with us. You'll also find many genuine reviews from traders who followed the rules, completed the process, and received their payouts.
If you've come across any information that concerns you or have any questions, we'd be happy to clarify everything. Feel free to contact us at [email protected] and our team will assist you promptly.

Scam? Judge for Yourself

I do not recommend working with this company.
* My account has been eligible for a payout for over 3 weeks, yet I still haven't been paid, despite their advertised average payout time of 8 hours.
* Customer support stops responding when you request a withdrawal, even though they are quick to reply beforehand to build trust and attract clients. After several emails, I only received one reply saying my case had been forwarded to the relevant department. Since then, complete silence.
* They frequently change their rules, sometimes significantly, meaning you may complete a challenge under one set of conditions only to face different ones when it's time to request a payout.
* The section where the trading rules should be available in the dashboard often doesn't even work.
* They also offer discounts in exchange for reviews, so I would advise treating positive reviews with caution.
My experience has been extremely disappointing, and after everything that has happened, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
Update: Following my review, the company responded publicly and asked me to contact them, despite the fact that I had already done so several times before publishing this review.
During their internal review, they admitted that the original rejection of my payout was based on an incorrect calculation. Although they later corrected the figures, they maintained the rejection using a different justification.
I have since raised further concerns regarding the rules applied to my funded account and the closure of my profitable funded account, which appears to contradict both their previous written communication and the policy published on their own website. I am still waiting for a response.
I will update this review again if the matter is resolved fairly.
Update following FundedProFX's response (20/7/2026):
Although the prop firm invited me to contact them, I had already done before publishing this review.
Your Compliance Team later admitted that the original payout rejection was based on an incorrect calculation. Considering that you describe the process as a thorough review, I find it difficult to understand how such a significant error was made in the first place.
After correcting the figure, they still maintained the rejection, applied a rule that appears to contradict both your previous written communication and the policy published on your website, closed my funded account while it was in profit, and replaced it with a new account starting from zero.
I have already raised these points privately and am still waiting for a response.
If the matter is resolved fairly, I will update my review accordingly. Until then, the review accurately reflects my experience.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, but we believe every case should be reviewed based on verified account details rather than assumptions.
Payout requests may require additional checks depending on trading activity, account status, and compliance with the applicable rules. Delays can occur when a case needs further investigation, but this does not mean the request has been ignored.
Please email your registered account details, payout request information, and any previous support correspondence to [email protected] so our team can review the matter properly and provide a clear response.
We are ready to investigate your concerns regarding the payout delay, rule changes, dashboard access, and support communication.
Regards,
FundedProFX
