Good Experience with Hantec Trader

My experience with Hantec Trader has been positive overall. I purchased a $200K challenge and appreciate the opportunity they provide for traders to develop their skills and work towards becoming funded traders.
The platform offers an interesting environment for those looking to take their trading journey to the next level.
I look forward to continuing my journey with Hantec Trader and hope to maintain a long-term relationship with the company.

My experience with you guys was good overall, although the verification process was quite stressful. Thank you so much. I managed the account responsibly, and I’m confident that with the right communication and consistency, we can build a strong, long-term partnership that benefits both sides.

I have already posted a review about my…

I have already posted a review about my experience with Hantec Trader, but unfortunately it was removed, and I do not know why. I can provide proof of my experience and of the accounts I opened.
I opened three accounts with Hantec Trader:
Express Challenge – Step 1 – $2,000
Instant24 – $10,000
Express Challenge – Step 1 – $5,000
Unfortunately, my experience with these accounts was disappointing, especially because of the trading commissions.
Before buying any account with a prop firm, I strongly recommend doing your own research, especially regarding leverage, commissions, consistency rules, maximum open risk and all the other conditions.
In my case, I only realized after purchasing the account that the leverage on XAUUSD was 1:10. I accept that I should have checked this before buying, so I can acknowledge my own mistake on that point.
However, the commissions were a much bigger problem.
Hantec states that the commission for metals is $5 per lot. But the important question is: what does this actually mean in practice?
For example, with XAUUSD, I found that I could only open around 0.01 lot at a time. With such a small position size, if you want to generate meaningful profits, you may need to open many positions.
And this is where the commissions become a serious issue.
The market is unpredictable. Unless you happen to enter at exactly the right moment and catch a strong move in your direction, you can easily have several losing trades. Meanwhile, you are paying commissions on every position, whether the trade is profitable or not.
In my case, I had approximately $156 in trading losses and around $45 in commissions on an account with a maximum loss of only $200. That is a very significant cost.
The $5-per-lot commission may sound small when presented on its own, but when you have to multiply your positions, it can add up very quickly.
I would have preferred Hantec to give a clear practical example before purchase. For example: with a $10,000 account, 1:10 leverage on XAUUSD and a position size of 0.01 lot, how much does it actually cost to open and close a trade, and how much commission can accumulate after multiple trades?
Instead of sending customers so many promotional emails and market updates, I would have preferred much clearer information about the conditions that actually affect the account and the real cost of trading.
That said, I want to be fair: the free challenges are a good initiative, and credit where credit is due — you are not paying for those.
But for paid accounts, I strongly recommend being extremely careful. Unless you have enough capital to accept losing the money you spend, you should understand exactly what you are buying.
The larger the account, the more room you have to manage your trades and absorb normal market fluctuations. With a small account and a very tight maximum loss, commissions, leverage and position-size restrictions can become a major problem.
That is what I found particularly frustrating with my experience.
I also believe that consistency rules and maximum open-risk rules should be checked very carefully before purchasing, because these conditions can significantly affect how you are actually able to trade the account.
I contacted Hantec Trader Support about the commissions. They explained how the $5-per-lot commission is calculated, but my concern is not simply how the commission is calculated. My concern is whether the real practical impact of these costs and trading conditions was sufficiently clear before purchasing the account.
I previously posted a review about my experience on Trustpilot, but unfortunately it was removed. I do not know why.
My advice to anyone considering a prop firm: do your own research, check the leverage, commissions, consistency rules, maximum open risk and position-size limitations, and understand the real cost of trading before paying for the account.
