My experience with Alpha Futures has been extremely disappointing.
I successfully traded multiple funded accounts and received payouts on several of them. However, one of my payout requests was denied for alleged “tick scalping” / short trade duration, despite the fact that I was trading the same strategy across my accounts and other payouts had previously been approved.
What makes the situation worse is the lack of clear and timely communication. I contacted support asking for a proper explanation and clarification regarding the trades they considered problematic, and after several days I still did not receive a satisfactory response.
If a trading style is considered unacceptable, this should be communicated clearly and consistently BEFORE traders spend money on evaluations, activation fees and significant time trading funded accounts. Rules affecting payouts should not feel open to interpretation only when a trader requests their money.
For me, the biggest issue is not simply that a payout was denied — it is the inconsistency and uncertainty surrounding the payout process. When you are dealing with a prop firm, confidence that the rules will be applied consistently is absolutely essential.
After my experience, I would be extremely cautious about putting more money into Alpha Futures.
I will update this review if Alpha Futures provides a satisfactory explanation or resolves the situation.
