Great rules, but disappointing trading conditions for gold

ForTraders has some of the best rules I've seen compared with other prop firms. The rules are reasonable, and the Fast 50K challenge looked like a good choice.
Unfortunately, my experience with the trading conditions has been disappointing.
I purchased the cTrader plan, and for more than 48 hours, the spread on gold (XAUUSD) has been extremely wide. The gap between the buy and sell prices is so large that even when a trade moves in your favour, the spread can eat into your profit or leave you in a loss.
I contacted live chat support and was told the spread should improve. More than 48 hours later, it is still the same.
Interestingly, the spreads on other instruments, including Forex majors (GBPUSD, USDJPY) and US Tech (Nasdaq), have been usable. My concern is specifically about gold, not every instrument offered by the company.
I understand that spreads fluctuate, and I could have tested the available demo accounts before purchasing. However, I did not expect gold's spread to remain this wide for so long.
I'm not questioning the challenge rules or saying the entire company is bad. The rules are genuinely attractive. My concern is whether the trading conditions will meet expectations once you actually purchase a challenge.
At this point, I have not been able to trade what I originally intended to trade: XAUUSD (gold). The spread on this particular instrument has remained so consistently wide that the issue appears to be ongoing. The spread is abysmal, to say the least.
Whenever I contact live chat support, I'm told that the spread should improve, but it hasn't. Email support has been equally disappointing. I've sent three emails and received no response to any of them. Contacting email support feels like throwing a message into a black hole.
If you're considering ForTraders, the rules may look attractive, but be aware that the trading conditions on individual instruments may not meet your expectations. And based on my experience so far, don't count on receiving a timely reply to your emails.
Great rules, but check the trading conditions carefully before purchasing. I definitely would not recommend them if you want to trade gold - - plain and simple.
