I previously had experience with Funded Elite, and there are many things here that new traders simply cannot understand and often end up falling into traps.
I placed several layered trades on GBP/NZD. The price was still around 30 pips away from my stop-loss level, yet my stop loss was triggered with nearly 10 pips of slippage, which is completely unacceptable. There was not even any major news event that day which could justify such abnormal spread expansion or slippage.
Another very important issue is their risk limit system. Many traders fail because of this confusing rule structure. According to their policy, we are allowed to risk up to 1.5% on a single instrument, which on a $50,000 account equals $750. My total floating and active loss was around $650, yet my account was still marked as breached.
The reason was that initially I had placed some stop losses at higher levels, but later, after opening new trades, I adjusted the stop losses lower in order to keep the total risk below 1.5%. However, it seems their system still considered the previous higher-risk exposure. This is the kind of hidden rule that perhaps only 1 out of 100 traders would fully understand before facing consequences.
I would strongly advise everyone to stay cautious and avoid firms with unclear or misleading risk management policies. It is always better to work with transparent and reputable prop firms.
