PropShopTrader lost me $34,000 and 10 months of effort

I have been a pro firm trader full-time for 2 years now. in a field where scamming is rampant and trust is hard to find, as a trader i look for products that offer consistency, reliability, and explicivity. PropShopTrader offers none of these; in abundance. The original accounts I bought here were supposed to be the normal challenge-to-sim funded scenario like most firms offer. They did an overhaul, and forcibly switched my accounts to what are now called "Legacy" accounts. These accounts went from sim, where you needed to complete a series of benchmarks with stringent rules, to live accounts where you got sent to live with a larger signing bonus. I stuck with it because the signing bonus was attractive with me, and I didn't want to waste the near $500 i spent on these accounts. I traded these off and on, and because of that in tandem with the difficult benchmarks, i still had the accounts until recently, where PropShopTrader decided they were discontinuing the Legacy accounts. This time instead of transferring me to new accounts, or offering me some sort of deal after getting 6 benchmarks and making about $34,000, they simply closed my accounts permanently without so much as an email.
I would not want anyone to fall into a similar situation, and there are plenty of trustworthy firms out there that nobody needs to use this firm.

SCAM FIRM

SCAM FIRM! STAY AWAY! I traded with them for over a year and have been screwed by them every time. There is always some way to wreck your hard work they find. Rule changes, account changes...now the final nail...just disable the account and offer zero transition to their new accounts...FRAUDULENT!

DO NOT LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!!

I was trading with them last year. Took a couple of payouts. They were changing rules very often. They cleverly taking away payouts from people by taking them to live accounts hours before they could request payout from multiple accounts (this happened to me). Since then I am not touching this pile of S**T even with 2m long stick. I am checking these reviews every now and then and sadly I see how they keep scamming peple. PLESE STAY AWAY!!! There are SO many normal prop trading companies that you can use!!! When i read these comments I realise they are most likely actually based in Lagos, Nigeria...DO NOT GIVE ANY MORE MONEY TO THESE SCAMMERS!!!!

I broke no rules, yet they closed my 3 funded accounts and kept every fee

I paid PropShopTrader monthly evaluation fees and a $700 conversion fee, passed, and held three funded accounts. On September 30, 2026 they closed every account in their "Legacy" program, including all three of mine. I broke no rule - they ended their own program. No transfer to the new platform, no refund, and I never received a payout. The only offer was coupons to buy new accounts from them. When I asked for a refund in writing, they refused under a "no-refund policy" because I had "used" the accounts - the accounts they sold me and then shut down. If you are considering a funded account here, understand that the company can end the program and keep what you paid. I have disputed the charges with my card issuer and filed complaints with the FTC and my state Attorney General.
