Inconsistent Compliance Guidance

Inconsistent Compliance Guidance, Reduced Payouts and Frustrating Risk Reviews
I've been with Upcomers for approximately 10 months, and while I initially had a positive experience, my confidence in the company's Risk and Compliance process has deteriorated significantly.
I've experienced multiple payout issues across separate funded accounts, including denied payouts, 50% payout reductions and account resets. On two accounts, one funded at $100,000 and another at $200,000, I had generated approximately 18% and 22% in profits respectively before experiencing unfavourable payout outcomes and resets.
My biggest frustration isn't necessarily the existence of trading rules. It's the inconsistent explanations and difficulty obtaining clear answers about how those rules are applied.
Conflicting explanations from support
I've had extensive conversations with several support representatives, including Chris, Jun, Jake and Euri.
Chris and Jun provided explanations suggesting that trading predominantly in one direction is acceptable when supported by market conditions and a legitimate strategy. Traders aren't expected to force BUY or SELL positions simply to balance their directional exposure.
However, Jake explained that heavily one-sided trading could still be flagged, even when trades are based on market analysis. I was also informed that trading journals wouldn't be considered for advance clearance and that certain compliance decisions could only be challenged after a payout review.
This creates considerable uncertainty. How is a trader supposed to confidently follow the rules when different representatives appear to interpret them differently?
Reactive trading and payout denials
I've had two payout denials for reactive trading on entirely separate accounts.
One review highlighted rapid same-direction re-entries after losses, while another identified increased position sizing and rapid re-entries.
I acknowledge the importance of preventing martingale, revenge trading and excessive risk. However, there needs to be a clear distinction between emotional trading and legitimate technical re-entries.
For traders operating in US30, NAS100 and Gold, price can move thousands of broker points within minutes. A valid liquidity sweep, rejection or market structure shift can create a new opportunity almost immediately after a stop-loss.
Under Upcomers' published rules, active trading is permitted, and reactive trading is supposed to concern decisions driven by previous results rather than fresh market analysis.
Trying to obtain clarification before trading
After my previous compliance issues, I took a two-month break to reassess my strategy and risk management.
Since returning, I've made considerable efforts to understand the rules before executing trades. I've submitted detailed explanations of my strategy, position sizing, combined risk, entries and potential re-entry scenarios.
I've also asked how scaled positions sharing the same stop-loss and take-profit are assessed and how the Risk Team distinguishes a fresh technical setup from reactive trading.
Euri confirmed that my correspondence had been forwarded to Risk and Compliance for review. However, I've continued waiting for a comprehensive response, despite following up.
My concern with Upcomers
The company expects traders to follow complex compliance rules, yet obtaining practical, consistent clarification can be extremely difficult.
I understand that support cannot guarantee future payout approval or pre-authorise every trading setup. But when compliance decisions can result in substantial payout reductions, denied withdrawals or account resets, traders deserve transparent explanations supported by their actual trading records.
I'm not asking Upcomers to remove its rules or overlook genuine violations.
I'm asking for consistent communication, transparent compliance assessments, reasonable response times and clear explanations of the specific trades considered problematic.
I have trading journals, MT5 records, chart evidence and support correspondence documenting my experience.
I hope Upcomers addresses these concerns because I genuinely wanted to build a long-term relationship with the firm. Unfortunately, my experiences with payout reviews and communication have significantly affected my trust.
A profitable trading strategy shouldn't be judged solely by how quickly a trader reacts to the market. The technical reasoning, actual risk exposure and consistency of execution should matter too.

Hello Montaque,
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed and constructive review. We truly appreciate your 10 months with us, and we’re sorry that your recent experiences with payout reviews and communication have affected your trust in us. That’s not the experience we want for any trader, especially someone who has clearly put so much effort into understanding our rules.
Your feedback is fair and well taken. Receiving different explanations from different team members while still waiting for a comprehensive response after submitting your strategy details for review can be frustrating. You deserve consistent, clear answers, particularly when the outcomes affect your payouts and accounts.
We’d like to provide you with a complete and consistent explanation. This means reviewing the specific trades flagged on your accounts and addressing your questions about directional trading, technical re-entries, and how scaled positions are assessed. Please email us at [email protected] with β€œPRIORITY – Trustpilot” in the subject line. I’ll personally ensure that your case, including the correspondence already shared with our Risk and Compliance team, is reviewed by a senior member of our team and that you receive a response within 24 hours.
Thank you again for your patience and for sharing your feedback so thoughtfully. We genuinely want to rebuild your trust.
Kind regards,
Ann – Upcomers Team

I wouldn’t give even a single star

I wouldn’t give even a single star; they are liars and scammers. Their entire business model is selling demo accounts, yet no one ever actually gets a payout.

Hello Aurelio,
We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Upcomers hasn’t met your expectations. We recognize that payouts are an important part of the trading experience and that clear information about the process is essential.
We acknowledge your concerns regarding our simulated trading accounts and payout process. Upcomers programs operate in a simulated trading environment using virtual capital, and payouts are processed in accordance with the applicable program rules and eligibility requirements. We believe it is important for traders to understand these conditions and the criteria that apply to payout eligibility before participating.
We’d welcome the opportunity to learn more about your experience and address any specific concerns you may have. Please reach out to us at [email protected] with your account ID and a link to this review so our team can examine your case and provide further clarification.
Kind regards,
Ann – Upcomers Team

Be Careful Before Trusting Upcomers With Your Hard-Earned Profits

My experience with Upcomers has been extremely disappointing, and I believe other traders deserve to know what happened to me before spending their time and money with this company.
I purchased multiple Phoenix 2-Step accounts, successfully passed both evaluation phases, and reached the payout stage. Instead of a smooth and transparent payout process, I found myself dealing with reduced payouts, a 50% profit cap, and explanations related to trading rules and strategies that I find difficult to understand or accept.
What makes this experience particularly frustrating is the apparent inconsistency in how my accounts have been treated.
After a lengthy discussion with their support team regarding my first case, I was told that the 50% profit cap would be removed as a goodwill gesture. I appreciated the representative’s efforts and genuinely believed the issue had been resolved.
However, the very next day, I requested a payout from another account with identical trading activity, linked through a copy trader. Instead of the expected $900, only $225 was approved, and another 50% profit cap was imposed.
Meanwhile, the previous day’s payout had been approved for $450. The difference in treatment between accounts with identical trading activity raises serious questions about the consistency and transparency of their payout review process.
My biggest concern is the feeling that once you become profitable and reach the payout stage, unexpected restrictions and reductions can suddenly appear.
I invested significant time, money, and effort into passing their challenges. I am not asking for special treatment; I am asking for consistent rules, transparent explanations, and fair treatment when it comes to withdrawing profits.
Although I appreciate the support representative who tried to help me, resolving one issue only to face a similar situation the following day has severely damaged my trust in the company.
My advice to other traders: be cautious, document everything, and carefully review the payout rules before purchasing accounts. Passing the challenges does not necessarily mean your payout experience will be straightforward.
I had genuinely planned to build a long-term relationship with Upcomers. Unfortunately, my experience has made me reconsider that decision entirely.
A prop firm should build trust by paying eligible profits consistently and applying its rules transparentlyβ€”not leave traders questioning whether their hard-earned payouts will be reduced at the last minute.

Hello David,
We’re sorry to hear how disappointing this experience has been, especially after successfully completing both phases of your Phoenix 2-Step challenges and reaching the payout stage. We understand your concerns about the difference in payout amounts between accounts with identical trading activity and the need for consistent, transparent payout decisions.
We acknowledge your concerns about the differences in approved payout amounts and the lack of clarity surrounding the application of the profit cap. We recognize that consistent decisions and clear explanations are important in helping traders understand their payout outcomes.
We’d welcome the opportunity to have both cases reviewed together by the relevant team to clarify the reasons behind the different payout decisions. Please contact us at [email protected] with the account IDs for both accounts and a link to this review so the team can look into the details further.
Kind regards,
Ann – Upcomers Team

⚠️ **BE CAREFUL BEFORE BUYING AN ACCOUNT…

⚠️ **BE CAREFUL BEFORE BUYING AN ACCOUNT FROM UPCOMERS!**
I made **$999.20 in profit** on my $25,000 Vanguard account, but when I requested my payout, Upcomers rejected it and reset my account to its initial balance.
Their reasons included taking all 13 trades on the SELL side, classifying one trade as Martingale, and flagging one trade where my stop-loss was hit in just 1 minute and 42 seconds.
I strongly disagree with this decision. The trade closed through a protective stop-loss, yet they treated it as a prohibited strategy. They also rejected my entire payout and imposed a 50% payout restriction on future withdrawals from this account.
**My experience has been extremely disappointing.** Imagine making almost $1,000 in profit and then having your payout rejected and your account reset.
I strongly advise traders to carefully read every rule and payout condition before purchasing an account from Upcomers. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm.
**Think twice before spending your money.**

Avoid Upcomers – They change rules post-funding and delay/restrict payouts

Do not fall for their "Buy 1 Get 2/1 Free" marketing traps or flashy advertisements. My experience with Upcomers has been deeply frustrating, filled with moving goalposts, arbitrary accusations, and heavily restricted withdrawals.
Here is what actually happened during my evaluation and funding:
Moving the Goalposts Post-Funding: After passing the challenge phase on a 10K account and fulfilling all original consistency rules, they suddenly introduced new rules that severely capped my payouts ($100 max withdrawal on the first payout).
Unjustified Accusations: They accused me of "tick trading" when I execute a strict "set-and-forget" strategy. A fast-moving market hit my target quickly, and they used this normal market volatility as an excuse to withhold my earnings, paying out only 50% of what was owed after stalling for two full weeks.
Arbitrary Reset of Consistency Rules: At one point, when my profit was well over $1,700, they suddenly reset my consistency metric back to 100%, forcing me to trade extensively just to work it back down to their required 30% rule.
Ridiculous Capped Payout Schedule: They have now capped future withdrawals in tiny increments ($200 for the 2nd withdrawal, $300 for the 3rd, and so on up to the 8th withdrawal).
Today they closed my account due to inactivity for 3months. They are wasting traders' time, holding earned profits hostage, and manipulating rules whenever a trader becomes profitable. I strongly advise everyone to avoid Upcomers. Save your capital and time for reputable prop firms that respect their own contracts.
